Friendship Productions is a Los Angeles-based production company backed by significant private equity capital — which, translated, means we don't have to beg outside financiers for permission. Mostly it means we get to call up friends and collaborators we actually like, and go make something cool.
Founder Matt Ritter — The Friendship Guy — left a career in BigLaw (Kirkland & Ellis, Mayer Brown) to chase comedy and storytelling full time. He's built a standup career headlining clubs nationwide with Comedians at Law, the world's only lawyer comedy troupe, got his first screenplay on the Black List, and co-hosts the Man of the Year podcast.
These days he's best known for helping people fix the friendship-shaped hole in modern life with his large social following and newsletter, The Friendship Habit.
We're drawn to stories about connection — the friendships, families, and unlikely alliances that carry people through. Character-first and emotionally honest, with room to laugh.
